Positive Toxicity

We are human. We have feelings. God gave them to us for a purpose. They are to be felt. So many people grow up not receiving validation from their parents, caregivers, and loved ones. The people they look up to. They are not given the support and validation they need to help them build their lives on an emotionally healthy foundation.
Perhaps because those people were never given the proper foundation themselves, creating an unaware cycle of unhealthy coping mechanisms. So the vicious cycle goes on dismissing and burying all of the painful emotions with this positive toxicity of believing in some alternate reality of puppies and sunshine without addressing the elephant in the room. "Oh it's not that bad." "You should be grateful for what you have." "You're just too sensitive." "So and so doesn't think like that."
And then one day, the oh so brave one wakes up from the dream. The web of lies and psychological manipulation they have been enduring that has now manifested into the body in some way shape or form and says these powerful words.
"No more! I don't deserve this."
And then the healing begins...
